Working towards green hosting

Hosting is not environmentally friendly. At HostPro we take the environment seriously and we have implemented initiatives to make our company greener in order to reduce our carbon footprint. Hostpro are working internally and with all our suppliers to reduce our carbon footprint. The simple routines of ensuring we don’t waste paper, recycling as much as we can and using low powered processors in our servers are just a few of the initial steps we have taken.

We are talking to our energy providers to try and source energy from renewable sources and we are undertaking tree planting schemes to counter our footprint. We use energy efficient Intel processors in our servers which use a lower voltage, SFF hard drives and DDR2 memory which consume less power than older systems.

We continue to work on our partnerships in this aspect and strive to provide a more echo friendly hosting environment with each passing day.
